Romania's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued travel warnings for Romanians abroad, covering two separate events: a spontaneous protest by Turkish truck drivers near the Turkey–Bulgaria border and a national strike in Italy scheduled for Friday, 30 October.

At the border between Turkey and Bulgaria, a protest by Turkish hauliers is causing significant delays at two crossing points: Hamzabeyli–Lesovo and Kapikule–Kaptan Andreevo. The protest began without prior notice and its duration is unknown. Traffic remains open, but long queues have formed on both sides. Passenger cars and coaches can still cross, but freight transport is heavily affected. Romanian truck drivers are advised to follow instructions from Turkish authorities and to carry sufficient fuel, drinking water, and non-perishable food. For urgent situations, the Consulate General of Romania in Istanbul can be reached at +90 533 542 0695.

In Italy, a nationwide strike on 30 October will disrupt air, rail, local public transport, education, and health services. Air transport will be affected for the entire day, from 00:00 to 23:59. Rail services will be impacted from Thursday, 29 October, at 21:00 until Friday, 30 October, at 20:59. Local public transport will operate according to local schedules, and motorway traffic may be affected from Thursday evening at 22:00. Protests are also possible in major urban areas.

Romanian citizens in Italy can contact the Consulate General in Rome at +39 06 835 233 44 or other listed numbers. The Ministry recommends using the "Călătorește informat" app and checking official websites for updates.
