After a string of rainy and overcast days, Bucharest finally gets some sunshine this weekend, and according to HotNews, there are plenty of reasons to step out and enjoy it. From a belated Halloween celebration with Romanian mythological themes to an array of indoor concerts, the city's event calendar is buzzing on 7 and 8 November.

West Side Hallo Fest brings folklore to Lacul Morii

Halloween is being celebrated late in Sector 6, but the West Side Hallo Fest is expected to draw large crowds. Running from 6 to 8 November at the base of the Lacul Morii dam, this year's edition is built around Romanian mythology and legends, featuring characters such as Ielele, Muma Pădurii, Balaurul, the enchanted stag, ravens and Solomonarul. The festival offers themed decorations, installations, activities for children and adults, food areas and concerts. On Saturday, 7 November, the musical lineup includes Lupii lui Calancea at 19:30 and Andra at 21:00. Sunday continues with Vama at 19:20 and Vița de Vie at 20:50. Tickets for each day cost 60 lei, while a two-day pass is 100 lei. Children up to 14 years old enter free when accompanied by an adult.

Loredana and Mihai Mărgineanu headline indoor shows

For those preferring a seated concert, Loredana presents her show "LIBERTATE" at Sala Palatului on 7 November. Billed as a concept built around breaking musical genre boundaries and freedom of expression, the performance promises a complex visual and sound production where pop meets other influences. Tickets start at 137 lei, according to HotNews.

That same evening, at Hard Rock Cafe, folk-influenced singer Mihai Mărgineanu takes the stage at 21:30. Known for his storytelling lyrics, Mărgineanu will perform his repertoire live. Advance tickets are 169 lei for VIP seating at a table near the stage, and 129 lei for general access with table seating. Door prices rise to 190 lei and 150 lei respectively.

International nights: Modestep and Imarhan

British electronic-rock project Modestep brings its European tour to Expirat on Saturday. Formed in London in 2010, Modestep blends dubstep, drum & bass, rock and electronic music, with hits like "Sunlight", "Feel Good" and "To The Stars". The 2026 tour includes over 20 concerts; Bucharest's show has doors at 19:00 and the set starting at 19:45. Tickets are 167 lei.

Over at Control Club, the Algerian band Imarhan performs in the Berlin Room, also on Saturday. Imarhan explores Tuareg desert blues, known as assouf, mixing it with funk, psych-rock and pan-African influences. With four albums and international collaborations, the band brings a contemporary touch to traditional Tuareg music. Doors open at 19:00.

For a multi-day rock and alternative experience, the Funk Rock Hotel festival runs from 6 to 8 November at Quantic, featuring Bosquito, White Mahala & Ska-Nk and many others across genres.
